Frequently Asked Questions
· Vegas Drilling cannot drill your new well for you but if you call us we will direct you to a reputable company who can.
You should contact the Nevada Division of Water Resources to see if your property qualifies – Las Vegas office (702) 486-2770.
· We will set an appointment. When the service technician arrives they will perform a few tests on your system. We use an amp meter to measure the work load that the motor is working under and compare that measurement to what the new motor specifications are. We also use an ohm meter to check the condition of the motor windings, the cable and to find out if the system is grounded (shorted). We will also check the above ground pressure tanks and test the air charge. We will then give the customer any further needed estimates and or recommendations.
· Yes. We will test your well system from above ground (see service call question). We will write out an inspection form on-site. We do not test the water quality but a quantity test can be done if requested.
Yes. Vegas Drilling works for the customer not the insurance company. Vegas Drilling is not “hired” by any insurance companies because we care about the quality of work that is done for our customers. We will gladly assist the customer in any questions that the insurance company has. We will require that the customer be reimbursed by the insurance company for the homeowner approved work.
· Yes. A water well can produce sediment. Water wells are mostly constructed with metal. Over time the metals in the well construction and also the plumbing can start to break down and cause red or rusty water. Both sediment and some rust can be lessened by having a sediment filter installed at your well.
· Sometimes. It depends on the type of pressure system that your well has. We can evaluate the pressure at your well and either increase the outgoing pressure or recommend a higher pressure producing solution. Vegas Drilling specializes in custom built pressure systems that are needed for additional development on your property such as horse arenas, additions and special use applications.
Can Vegas Drilling install a pumping system into my well that is "off the grid"?
Yes. We install renewable energy pumping systems and generator powered systems.
Yes. Give us a call tell us what you need and we will help you choose the right parts for the application.
